Maintenance Management & Cost Allocation

Understanding of the costs associated with track maintenance is an important part of maintenance management and budget planning. ZETA-TECH’s Maintenance management and costing tools allow for the evaluation of maintenance of way costs on both a macro (e.g. global) basis or on a micro (or local) basis. This includes simulation of future maintenance of way costs for freight , passenger , transit or mixed high speed passenger -freight operations, assessment of actual costs, and allocation of costs between passenger types. The proper allocation of maintenance of way costs between different types of traffic is particularly valuable in right of way access charge determination where the actual share of track maintenance associated with a given freight or passenger service can be determined.
