Designed, installed, programmed and maintained a PC-based computer network among three oil analysis laboratories for collating, analyzing and storing oil analysis.

Responsible for hiring, training and supervising the personnel for operating and maintaining the Burlington Northern Track Strength Analysis and Recording (TSAR) vehicle. 

Responsible for computer network operations for the laboratory facility

Responsible for supervisory and administrative operations of lab employees, involving electrical/electronic, chemical, metallurgical and environmental projects.

Responsible for instrumented tests of railroad rolling stock and track structures.  Including developing proposals and test procedures. Participated in the design, construction, testing and initial operation an end-of-train telemetry system based on VHF radio.

Participated in the initial evaluation period of and initial operation of an electromechanical rail wear measurement Hi-rail vehicle

Aided in the upgrade of an electromechanical track geometry measurement car first to a computer-controlled electromechanical design and later to a computer-controlled electronic design. 

Participated in the design and construction of magnetic tape speed recorders for 1400 locomotives
