While some railroads have existing training departments in-house that may need the occasional supplementary staff or materials, other railroads need to outsource the entire training process. In both cases ZETA-TECH offers solutions and has the necessary capabilities.

ZETA-TECH’s training department offers the following:

• Training Courses-These days it is not enough knowledge for track inspectors, operators or engineers to simply know how to repair damage to railway structure. They must know how to investigate problems, determine the reasons behind the damage, reason out proper treatment, and of course provide treatment. ZETA-TECH offers a wide variety of training programs that encourage students to understand the root causes that aggravate different railroad situations and intelligently respond to these problems. ZETA-TECH courses cover the following areas and can be modified to meet a particular railroad’s individual needs:

• Consulting and Customized Planning for In-house Training Departments As a consulting firm, ZETA-TECH understands the importance of distinguishing railroad needs based on circumstance. As a result, ZETA-TECH takes a creative approach when working with clients to decide which courses best fit their needs. The professionals at ZETA-TECH have the ability to work one-on-one-with railroad representatives and in-house training departments to custom design courses that meet the individual needs of their organization.
  
  
• Computer Based Training (CBT) via the Web-As more and more railroads upgrade their in-house technology resources and increase dependency on computer-based training, ZETA-TECH offers a number of courses “virtually” via the Internet and/or available for railroads to upload onto their intranets. These digital courses enable railroad employees to:
  
  
  • Read through training materials, Scan through ppt. presentations at their own convenience
  • Participate in conference-call based online courses or
  • Practice training exercises while seated in front of their computers.
    
    ZETA-TECH does make an effort not to perform all courses via CBT, because they feel that certain hands-on or in-person knowledge is essential for select certifications.Railroads are invited to direct all questions regarding CBT to the training department directly.
  
  
  
• Next Generation Training Web Seminars -Similar to CBT, ZETA-TECH offers select training and informational seminars via a secured Internet site and conference line to railroads throughout the year on various topics. Please contact the training department for a calendar of upcoming web seminars. In addition, railroads may work with ZETA-TECH to offer specialized web seminars on the topics of their choice to their employees in this “virtual” classroom environment.
  
  
• Supplemental eLearning Tools-ZETA-TECH offers a wide variety of digital eLearning tools for railroads to purchase; however it is recommended that these tools be used in conjunction with ZETA-TECH training courses to enhance training. eLearning tools include lecture CD-ROMS, digital training manuals, and computer-based training exercises.
